About

Welcome to my personal website! My name is Ali. I am Freshman at Anadolu University, Department of Political Science and Administration.

I graduated from Halil İnalcık Social Sciences High School in İnegöl, Bursa in 2025 June. My journey into academic writing began in my first year of high school under the guidance of my history teacher. I conducted a study on an architectural structure in İnegöl using the “Longue Durée” historiographical approach. This became my first academic paper and was awarded an honorable mention by a local organization.
In my second year, I focused on topics such as Heidegger, Orientalism, Islamic Philosophy, Hobbes, and Augustine of Hippo. I wrote several articles on these thinkers. My work on Augustine of Hippo was published in the Journal of Social Sciences of Bozok University in Yozgat, which is supported by TÜBİTAK and part of the DergiPark system. That same year, I achieved 4th place in a national philosophical essay competition.
In my third year, I was shortlisted in an essay competition organized by Northeastern University London, with a paper in which I analyzed the Eastern world through Augustine of Hippo’s philosophy of history. During this year, I also began publishing weekly opinion columns in Genç Gazete, a prestigious local newspaper. I participated in an international essay competition organized by the Cambridge Centre for International Research, submitting a comparative article on Heidegger and the Persian philosopher Suhrawardi. Additionally, my study on Heidegger’s philosophy of Techne was published in Sine Dergi, a local quarterly journal in Bursa/İnegöl.
In my final year, I took part in TÜBİTAK’s national inter-high school project competition with a project centered on the question: “How can we stop migration from villages to cities?” Out of approximately 100 projects, ours qualified for the regional exhibition and was awarded 4th place in the region. Our project was also supported by the İnegöl Municipality throughout the process.

In the final months of my high school education, I was awarded first place in philosophy in the international essay competition organized by the Oxford Scholastica Academy, which was founded in 2013 in Oxford, England by alumni and young academics of the University of Oxford.
